My husband and I try to expose our son to as many new experiences as we can…afford. If he says that he is interested in something, I go to the internet to try to find out if it is available in our area. Last summer he wanted to take a cooking class and I did not want to pay a lot for one or take the one offered at our local community college because it was on a Monday night. Well, I found out that Williams-Sonoma offers FREE Jr. Chef Classes on Saturday mornings at 9:30! Woo-hoo!! I am all for something being free. We just have to get up early to get there. We have been attending most Saturdays, except for some Saturdays during soccer season.
Emerson is a very picky eater, but I have noticed since taking this class that he will try the food that they make. Well, some of the food. He definitely feels comfortable and always makes comments! Chef Sharilyn, Chef Anna, and Ms. Amy are very patient, encouraging, and make the class fun for the kids. They definitely entertain all of Emerson’s questions and comments. My son likes going to Jr. Chef class, but he likes playing with the new friends he has made even more. And get this, parents get to enjoy a 10% discount if you make a purchase the day of your class. There is always something to buy—especially if you think it will help you prepare food for the picky eater in your life!
