*A few weeks ago I overheard a co-worker talking about FREE tickets to the Dallas Arboretum. My ears instantly perked up! Well, the Dallas Park and Recreation Centers will give you up to four tickets that include parking for FREE, if you ask for them. I know what you are thinking…”I don’t live in Dallas.” I already checked it out for you and it does not matter where you live. If you don’t believe me and think this is too good to be true, just call—I did. I asked and was told that I just needed to come pick the tickets up and show my ID. I attempted to pick up my tickets on Tuesday, but they were out at the Rec that I went to. So, I asked my husband to try another Recreation Center. Normally he doesn’t like to ask for anything unless he is sure that it will not cause any trouble (he doesn’t like returning items with a receipt!), but he went to the Rec for me. 🙂 He said there was no problem getting the tickets, they just asked how many tickets he needed. We have three tickets to the Dallas Arboretum that expire December 31, 2015. From my understanding, most people do not know that there are free tickets to the Arboretum… I didn’t. Now, we can all go the Dallas Arboretum without paying a lot of money just to get in.
I am sharing the link to an article in the Advocate which goes into more details about the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Society. http://shar.es/1om5ze
**These tickets do not include admission into the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden.
